I sent that above statement in from my cell phone while I was out shopping, because that was the feeling I had at the moment. It was a feeling that came up from my Subconscious mind to my Conscious mind in the form of a thought. Needless to say it felt good, so I texted it in. This brings to mind some thoughts about Self-Talk:
- Feelings create thoughts, and thoughts create feelings. There's a two way conversation going on there, like two people playing catch. That's one of the Secrets of why the Practice of Self-Talk works.
- Any positive self-talk that automatically pops into your head is one sign that you practice is working
- When those positive Self-Talk statements automatically pop into your head, write them down. This re-enforces them and starts building a list of Self-Talk statements tailor-made for you that you can collect into a script.
- If the thought that pops into your head is a negative one, this provides you with an even greater opportunity. Write that thought down. Then turn it around, and write its exact opposite. This is a fun game. It gives your subconscious and the old programs that live there a little jolt, and a little note to start packing their bags!
